Particularly given all the "crazy deals" we see daily, online shopping is a trap. Here's how to resist becoming caught in bogus sales.

Investigate Prices Before Purchasing

Tracking prices over time is a great trick. Websites such as Google Shopping or PriceBaba can show past pricing. Steer clear of it if the "sale" price remains above average.

Analyse Several Sites

One sales offer isn't the best one. Before you buy, check several sites for pricing.

Examine Reviews Closely

Sales occasionally feature low-quality products. Review things always before making a purchase.

Guard against flash sales.

These can be a trick to get you buying quickly. Think it over slowly and ask yourself, "Do I really need it?"

In essence, stay away from emotional purchases and wait before making a purchase. You will be thanked by your bank account; trust me.
